JASIC and JAMA were invited to the session for “cooperation with dialogue partners and international organizations” organized by the APWG of the ACCSQ.
In order to achieve the mutual recognition under the 1958 agreement, JASIC made a presentation on the activities for the harmonization of vehicle regulations at the United Nations, the content of the 1958 agreement, etc.
The delegates from the ASEAN nations asked such questions as how to adopt the ECE regulations.
JASIC will continue to maintain the cooperative relationship with ASEAN and try to seize every opportunity to implement activities to obtain an understanding of the mutual recognition under the 1958 agreement.
