The speeches were followed by active discussions with other participants on a wide range of topics, including, not only issues relating to the 1958 Agreement, but also the status of the CCC certification program currently implemented in China, the ideal compulsory standards in the future, and industrial policies regarding motorcycles. The forum thus strengthened mutual understanding between the policy-makers of Japan and China.

In addition, a reception party was held for about two hours after the forum, and further opinion exchanges took place at the party with regard to the details of individual issues. The forum and the party together helped the participants build a better mutual relationship.
